Stepping Off The Plane, Bonaire's Flamingo Airport, and Air Jamaica

The first thought when stepping off the plane was, "Wow! What a windy place!" Bonaire is subject to constant easterly trade winds, which make the windsurfers happy, but eliminate any chance for shore diving on the windward side of the island, with the exception of Lac Bay.

I purchased the Expedia option for roundtrip ground transportation for two (airport-hotel-airport) for $36. After securing our baggage, Suzanne and I walked out to the airport lobby where a representative of Bonaire Vacations and Tours greeted us and showed us to our mini-bus. Our luggage was loaded into a pickup truck, which followed us to the hotel. It was smooth sailing.
